Welcome!

At last, I have decided to become a blogger! What will I write about? Food. Food and my eternal struggle to diet. I have a new solution. I will not "diet". I will make healthier choices and be careful with my portion sizes, but I am going to eat what I WANT - and not feel guilty.

So what you will find here, are my recipes and my attempts to try to make some slightly healthier variations. I must warn you, I love experimenting and trying new foods!

Confession

Well, it's just day two of the NonDiet and I already have a post titled "Confession". Yes, I have made a poor choice. I made a healthy dinner, BUT, I had a little bit of seven layer dip (with chips of course) and I had some salt & vinegar chips. I am also not going to work out, not because I'm incredibly sore from last night's P90X,but because I have a margarita in my hand.

In my defense, it is way below freezing and we may be looking at another foot of snow. Maybe this is a winter survival instinct? Is my body telling me to keep the weight on so that I can survive some disastrous power outage and such severe weather that my food supply is cut off?!?! Probably not. The best thing about this NonDiet is I WILL NOT feel guilty. I will make better choices tomorrow. For now, I will enjoy my margarita, guilt-free!

P90X

Today is day one of my life as a "blogger",but it is also day one of my "non diet". Winter is coming to an end and I gave myself until Super Bowl to eat bad and not worry about my weight. Today I will eat better and start working out.

I made a very yummy dinner of tilapia fish tacos with a jalapeƱo slaw (experiement) and squash with tomatoes and corn. We also had a salad with homemade dressing. I will not be posting these recipes because I don't have pictures and it's just not as fun. But, I will make it again because it was great! Anyway, after dinner and a few games of wii, I proceeded to get my butt kicked by P90x. I did the CardioX and about five minutes into Ab Ripper X. This is a crazy workout! My goal is to lose ten pounds and get a headstart on my summer weight loss. I will try to do p90x every day and maybe this will keep me accountable. Let's see how I feel tomorrow....
